The Ministry of Home Affairs conducts the Staff Selection Commission General Duty (SSC - GD) exam to recruit candidates for various governments posts such as Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Central Reserve  Police Force (CRPF), Rifleman (General Duty) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) in  Assam Rifles.

Educational Qualification

CAREER In SSC GD RECRUITMENT :

  • SSC GD is initially appointed as guard or escort.

  • To maintain the internal discipline, entry of vehicles and their parking, and regulation for taking material out of Secretariat property.

PHYSICAL STANDARD FOR SSC GD PARAMILITARY FORCES RECRUITMENT:

Physical Standard in another important eligibility for the post of SSC GD. Candidates who will qualify for the Computer Based Test will be shortlisted for the Physical Eligibility Test/Physical Standard Test which is conducted by the commission. Physical Eligibility Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centres and will be finalised by Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Candidates who found themselves to be eligible on height parameters will have to undergo Physical Eligibility Test (PET) which will be followed by biometric/technology-aided identification.
