About Exam-

The National Cadet Corps is an Indian military cadet corps based in New Delhi. It is open on a volunteer basis to high school and college students. The National Cadet Corps in India is a non-profit organization that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities throughout the country. Cadets receive fundamental military training in small arms and parades. Officers and cadets have no obligation to serve in the military once they complete their training, but they are given preference over regular candidates during selections based on their achievements in the corps.

Eligibility Criteria for NCC 

Nationality

A candidate must be either: 

(i) an Indian citizen, 

(ii) a subject of Nepal, or 

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India; provided, however, that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above must be a person in A certificate of eligibility will not be required, however, for candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

 Age limit 

For NCC candidates (including wards of battle casualties), the age limit is 19 to 25 years.

Qualifications in Education

  • For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders, a degree from a recognised university or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50% marks across all years is required. Those in their final year of study may also apply if they have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years of degree courses. If selected for an interview, such students must have an overall aggregate of at least 50% in their degree courses, or their candidature will be CANCELLED.
  • Should have served in the NCC's Senior Division/Wg for a minimum of two/three years (as applicable).
  • Should have received at least a 'B' grade in the NCC 'C' Certificate Exam.

For Battle Casualties Wards

  • Wards of battle casualties are wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters, including legally adopted) of battle casualties who have been killed in action.
  • died as a result of a wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).
  • Injured or Wounded (Other than self-inflicted).
  • Missing.
  • Degree from a recognised university or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks overall (all years combined).
  • Wards of Battle Casualties do not need an NCC 'C' certificate.

The NCC SSB Interview Procedure-

As you are all aware, the SSB interview in the Indian Armed Forces is a difficult interview that lasts 5 to 6 days. Candidates must put in a lot of effort to be considered for this interview. Documents Needed for the NCC SSB Interview

  • Printout of the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or equivalent certificate and Mark Sheet issued by the relevant Board of Education.
  • 12th Grade Certificate and Marks Sheet
  • Mark sheets for all years/semesters of the graduation degree/provisional degree.
  • NCC 'C' Certificate (The NCC 'C' Certificate must be issued on or before the date the candidate submits his or her online application). Wards of Battle Casualties do not need an NCC 'C' Certificate.
  • Certificate from the concerned University specifying the rules/conversion criteria/formula for CGPA conversion to marks (as applicable) and aggregate percentage.
  • Certificate from the Principal/Head of the Institution stating that the candidate is in his or her final year and that the results will be announced by April 1st, 2023. (only for final year appearing candidates).
  • Declaration by the final-year degree candidate that he/she will submit proof of passing to the Directorate General of Recruiting by April 1, 2023, or his/her candidature will be cancelled.

Complete Marking Scheme For JAG SSB Interview
