Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
to Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) (for B E/B Tech) exam? Call up for Service Selection Board (Board) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Mains) All India Common Rank List (CRL) published by (NTA) National Testing Agency.
Separate merit lists for Education Branch and Executive & Technical Branch (combined) will be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination would be appointed as per the availability of vacancies in respective branches.
Training -: (a) Selected will be indicated as a candidate for the four-year B.Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B.Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Distribution of candidates amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy.
(b) The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.
Candidats are to register and submit their application on the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in to save time during the application submission window, candidates cand still in their details and upload documents in advance under their user profile. The procedure for applying online is explained below.
(b) All relevant documents (preferably in original), Date of Birth proof (as per 10th/12th certification), 10th class marksheet , 12th class marksheet, JEE (Main) Score card (Indication Common Rank List (CRL)) and a recent passport size colour photography should be scanned in Original JPG/TIFF, for attaching the same while filling up the application.
(c ) If any scanned document is not legible/ readable for any reason, the application will be rejected.
(d) Print one copy of online application form and carry it along with original certificate/documents as mentioned in Para 10(b) while appearing for SSB interview.
The promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on a time scale basis subject to completion of mandatory course, sea time and medical condition.
