ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CAPF EXAMINATION:

 

 CAPF EXAMINATION Eligibility criteria is divide into AGE LIMIT,EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION , 

 

AGE LIMIT CAPF RECRUITMENT :

A candidate must be between:

The  age limit for the CAPF exam is  minimum 20 years and maximum is less than 25 years. The age of the candidate is calculated from August 1 of the exam year. For the candidates appearing in the UPSC CAPF exam 2021, the candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1996 and not later than August 1, 2001.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR CAPF:

"the candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognised university". The candidates who are in the appearing can also apply for the exam but they have to produce the final year mark sheet of the qualifying exam with the detailed application form.

 

SELECTION PROCESS  OF CAPF EXAMINATION:

CAPF EXAMINATION  is held by the UPSC they completed selection process in few step:

1.WRITTEN EXAMINATION

 

2.PHYSICAL STANDARD /PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST AND MEDICAL TEST

 

3.INTERVIEW / PERSONALITY TEST

 

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:

 written exam consists of two section Paper 1 and paper 2 Candidate should get the qualifying marks in this stage to go for in second stage’

 

 PAPER 1: 

• consists of Intelligence and General Ability which is of 250 marks and the time duration is 2 hours .
• Paper 1 review first and only those candidates who receive the minimum qualifying marks in paper i will be considered for paper
• Paper 1 questions in both languages i.e English

 

PAPER 2 :

•  Paper - 2 is descriptive and consists of General studies, Essay and comprehension which is of 200 marks and the time duration is of 3 hours 
• Paper 2 includes the English language.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST FOR CAPF EXAMINATION:

physical efficiency test included RACE ,LONG JUMP,RACE,SHOT PUT,MEDICAL EXAMINATION

 

RACE 

100 for male in 16 seconds and for females in 18 second.

 

 Long Jump-  3.5 for males in 3 chances and 3 for females in 3 chances.

 

RACE - 800m for male in 3min and for female in 4 min 

 

SHOT PUT - 7.26 in 4.5m and for females N/A

 

MEDICAL EXAMINATION 

-Might be 165 cm for men and 157 cm for women weight should be 50 kg for men and 46kg for women.

• No deafness or chronic ear discharge in the candidate 
• No swollen lymph nodes, thyroid or other swelling in the neck.
• Candidates must be free from chronic skin disease. 

Distant Vision  should for better eyes is 6/6 and worse eyes is 6/12

• Candidates who that woman , found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared unfit.

 

CAPF INTERVIEW OR PERSONALITY TEST -

 

• Candidates who qualify the written  examination as well as physical efficiency Test including Medical examination are called for their Interview or for their personality test.
• The Interview round of CAPF is 150 marks.  Before taking the interview, selected candidates must get the e-admit  card from the official website.
• There is a panel of four people where one is a chairperson (a serving member of CAPF).
• Interview starts with a short introduction to build up the confidence of the candidate.
• There are questions based on the information filled by candidates in the applying form for their  personality test.
• Candidates can also ask questions on General knowledge, current affairs at both national and regional levels. The selected  candidates will receive an appointment letter, the salary of a CAPF  officer is 51,480 to 1,77,500 along with the additional allowances.
