Border Security Force is an integral part of our defence forces which comes under paramilitary forces. The basic duty of the BSF is to secure our borders like the India-China border and India-Pakistan borders which are more prone to conflicts. In this force, there are some criteria for selection. There are mainly two categories that include officer-level posts requiring much hard work and effort. Then comes the non-officer ranks. The officer rank entries are conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) CAPF AC entry while for the non-officer ranks BSF released separate notifications depending upon the vacancies. The BSF Assistant Commandant posts are the officer level posts and its recruitment process is conducted by UPSC CAPF AC entry once a year. These posts are filled up by various personnel after appearing for the UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment.
The BSF non-officer level ranks include the Sub Inspector, Head Constable, Radio Operator and Radio Mechanic. For the various non-officer level ranks in BSF, the recruitment is conducted by releasing official recruitment notifications by the Border Security Force.

To apply for the post of SSC GD, Candidates should be in between 18- 23 years. The upper or minimum age limit should be 18 years and the maximum or upper age limit should be 23 years.
As per the SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice-based exam.
• The exam consists of 4 sections with 100 questions in total.
• The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 90 minutes.
• The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
• There is a 0.25 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
• The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.
