Indian Army has its own hospitals and polyclinics. Each of these medical centres requires Nursing Assistants to assist doctors, look after the patients, work in the Operation Theatres, manage accounts in medical stores, and arrange first aid, and so on. To become a part of Indian Army as Nursing Assistants, candidates with Science background with Biology are required to clear the Indian Army BSc Nursing entrance examination. Generally, the examination for Indian Army Nursing is held once a year. The MKCian says – The Army has its own hospitals and polyclinics. All kinds of specialists are present in Army Hospitals. Each hospital and polyclinic requires Nursing Assistants to assist the doctors, look after the patients, work in the Operation Theaters, account for medicines in the medical stores and administer first aid. We thus require dedicated candidates with a science background with Biology to be enrolled as Soldier Nursing Assistant.
Female candidates who are interested to get admission into 4 years BSc (Nursing) course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services are suggested to apply for Indian Army Nursing entrance exam and crack it to get one step closer to their dream. Although, qualifying the entrance examination is not enough. Admission for this post is based on the vacancy in college, merit cum choice, and subject to medical fitness. After completing 4 years course, candidates will be appointed in the Military Nursing Service.
As per the official notification, candidates will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance, and a monthly stipend during training. After clearing the entrance exam and fulfilling the entire parameters, candidates will get seats in various institutions and pursue the course.
