Test of Physical Fitness

Running over 1.6 kilometers must be finished in 06 minutes, and 30 seconds. To pass the physical fitness test, candidates must additionally complete 10 pushups, 10 situps, and 20 squats in the allotted time.

Test of Adaptability No. 1 (Applicable to Both Group X & Group Y Trades) - The Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test), which is to determine a candidate's suitability, must be taken by all candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). (PFT) a candidate for employment in the IAF who will be deployed in a range of operational and meteorological scenarios.

Test of Adaptability No. 2 (Applicable to Both Group X & Group Y Trades) - Each and every applicant who successfully completes the Adaptability Test I is required to handle the Adaptability Test II in accordance with current trends. The purpose of the Adaptability Test-II is to identify applicants who can accept the Indian Air Force for what it is and can adapt to life in the military.

Test of Medical Fitness (i) Height 152.5 cm is the minimum height.

IAF(P) trading minimum height is 165 cm (For NE and Hill States) and 175 Cm (For other States) (For other States)

Auto Tech trade requires a minimum height of 162.5 cm (For NE and Hill States) (For other States) and 165 cm (ii) Chest: 5

Weight-Weight proportionate to height and age. However, only the Operations Assistant (ATS) Trade is required to be at least 55 kg in weight.

The process of selection-

The three stages that a candidate must go through before being selected for ultimate placement in the IAF are as follows.

A physical fitness test, the AT-I and AT-II tests, and the online written test are part of Phase I. Indian Air Force X, Y Group Exam Pattern Phase I or Online Written Test will contain the following components as listed below. Payscale for IAF Group X: A stipend of Rs. 14,600 will be given each month while you're in training. Selection Procedure for Indian Air Force Groups X and Y

 

The Indian Air Force conducts the selection process for the Indian Air Force examination (IAF). The IAF Group X & Y selection process will include three rounds: a written test, a physical fitness test, and a medical test.Candidates must appear and pass all selection rounds to be considered for a position in Group X or Group Y. The Indian Air Force will evaluate candidates in all fields to determine their suitability for Airmen Group X and Y positions. Candidates must achieve the qualifying marks set by the Indian Air Force. Airmen Group X and Y selection will be based solely on merit, as well as candidates' performance in previous selection rounds.

Physical Fitness Test for Airforce Group X & Y in 2022 (PFT)

To join the Indian Air Force, one must be physically fit, hence passing the PFT is required. The fitness tests that will be performed are as follows:

Test 1 of Adaptability:

 

Candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Exam (PFT) will next take the SRT as the first test of the adaptation test (Situation Reaction Test). Here, a candidate's decision-making and reaction are evaluated. There are 45 SRTs in all, and 30 minutes are allotted for each one. This test evaluates an applicant's attitude in relation to the standards specified by the defence forces for choosing a candidate with the appropriate frame of mind.

Test 2 of adaptability:
