Agnipath Scheme 2022 for Army, Navy and Airforce in Detail.

The Central Government announced the Agnipath Scheme 2022 on June 14, 2022. The Agnipath scheme goal is to recruit young people to serve in the country's defence and armed forces. With the release of Agnipath recruitment notifications for Agniveers, candidates can read about the important details, dates, and eligibility criteria for recruitment into the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy.

Age Limit:-

To become Agniveer in the Indian Armed Forces the candidate must fulfill the appropriate age limit to fill the application form. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17.5 years while the maximum age should be 23 years

Educational Qualification for Indian Army:-

Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass
  • Class 10th High School Exam Passed in Any Recognized Board in India.
  • Minimum 33% in Each Subject.
Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass
  • Class 8th Eight Exam Passed in Any Recognized Board in India.
  • Minimum 33% in Each Subject.

Educational Qualification for Indian Airforce:-

For Science Subjects:-

Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

You have to pass Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

OR

Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course)

For Other than Science Subjects:-

Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

Educational Qualification for Indian Navy:-

Advantages of Joining Army, Air Force and Navy as Agniveer:-

The candidates who are inducted as soldiers in the Indian Navy under the Agneepath scheme will get several advantages.

  • 30 days leave every year as well as medical leave and other necessary leave available to the candidates joining the as Agniveer.
  • After 4 years of service, the candidate will also be taught skills to become self-reliant by the Indian Armed Forces.
  • After serving in the Armed forces as Agniveer, candidates will be given a separate quota of 10% in various departments of the Indian Armed Forces.

  • The salary of the candidates will continuously increase every year during the 4 years.
  • When an Agniveer completes his entire service in a better way, then he is given a total of 11 lakh 71 thousand rupees.
