AFCAT i.e Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is framed by the Indian Air force twice a year for the interested candidates to fill up their vacancies. Vacancies are released for various posts such as Flying , Ground Duty , Meteorology separately for men and women. 

 

  • AFCAT is a national level examination in which a large number of candidates appear twice a year.
  • A total number of vacancies is 263 out of  which 228 posts  for men and 35 posts for women. 


 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- 

 

  • NATIONALITY- Candidate should be citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act , 1995 
  • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS- 

FOR FLYING BRANCH - 50 percent marks in each Maths, physics of class 12 along with graduation degree with recognised university or B.Tech degree with 60 percent of marks with recognized university of India. 

 

GROUND DUTY (Technical Branch) - 50 percent marks in each subject Maths, Physics in intermediate and 4 years of Engineering degree with recognized university of India.


 

GROUND DUTY (Non- Technical Branches)- 

10+2 and Graduation degree of 3 years with minimum marks of 60 percent with recognised university or India.

     

  •   AGE LIMITATION -  Candidate should be 20 years to 26 years of age



 

EXAM PATTERN OF AFCAT - 

 

Non- Technical AFCAT - General Awareness, Reasoning, Military Aptitude Test, Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability with 100 questions of 300 marks and the time duration is 2 hours.


 

EKT for Technical Branch- Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science with 50 questions of 150 marks and the time duration is about 45 minutes.

AFCAT  Apply Online

The mode to fill out the AFCAT 2 application form  is online only. Eligible candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to complete the AFCAT  registration and application process:

 

Step 1: AFCAT  Registration 

Go to the official website of the Indian Air force.

Now, go to the tab – ‘Career’.

Click on the section – ‘Candidates Login’.

A new web page will appear on the screen. Fill in the registration details including - Email ID, Mobile Number, etc.

Click on the bottom ‘Submit’. A new AFCAT Registration ID and Password would be sent to the registered Email address.

Note: Candidates should save their Registered Email ID and Phone Number for the entire selection process.

 

Step 2: AFCAT Application 

Login with credentials and fill out the AFCAT application form.

 

Select the Preference of Branch, AFCAT Exam Center, Subject for EKT exam, etc.

Upload your Signature and Photograph (as per the dimensions provided in the notification).

Submit the application form and save the confirmation page.

The AFCAT  admit card was released by the official website  for Stage1.  Those who have successfully submitted the application form  will be able to download the hall ticket from the official website or from the direct link provided above. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets by entering their registration number and password. 

 

The following steps need to be followed for downloading the admit card:

 

Go to the official website www.afcat.cdac.in, and there on the homepage you will find the link to the AFCAT 2 admit card.

Click on the link and the login page will appear, put your login credential there.

Click on Submit.

A new page will arise, giving the AFCAT admit card 

Save and Download the admit card.
