AFCAT Exam Pattern

    According to the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955, the candidate must be an Indian citizen.


    Flying Branch - 20 to 24 years old as of January 1, 2024, or born between January 2, 2000, and January 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive). Candidates who currently have a Commercial Pilot License issued by the DGCA (India) may have their upper age limit relaxed by up to 26 years.

    Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches - 20 to 26 years old

    A minimum of 50% in both math and physics at the 10+2 level.

    Graduate (Three Year Course) from an accredited university in any discipline with a minimum grade point average of 60% or equivalent. BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

    Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
