Commission Type

  1. Men's Permanent Commission (PC). Candidates who enlist as PC officers will stay on in their respective branches until the age of superannuation according to their rank.
  2. Men and women can join the Short Service Commission (SSC).

AFCAT Qualifications

  • Educational requirements :Minimum educational requirements for the Ground Duty (technical and non-technical) branches and the Flying Branch are different.
