ACC Exam Description
The Indian Military Academy's ACC (Army Cadet College) Wing trains regular soldiers, sailors, and airmen for commission as officers in the Indian Army. The Siachin battalion is another name for the ACC today.
The curriculum at IMA is created to maximize the growth of the moral, intellectual, and physical skills necessary for leadership in the armed forces. The IMA teaches its students the values that are necessary for leadership in both war and peace, including patriotism, dynamism, character, initiative, and understanding.
The fifth IMA Battalion, the Army Cadet College Wing, is situated on Tons Campus and is commanded by an officer with the rank of Brigadier. It is made up of an Academic Department headed by a Principal and three companies, each with three platoons. Under the Humanities & Science Streams, the latter is divided into departments, each of which is headed by a Professor or Associate Professor.
The establishment of ACC- made the decision to operate in the same manner as the NDA, but entry into ACC was only open to soldiers serving in the ranks. A greater emphasis was placed on academics at ACC, with an equal emphasis on developing officer-like qualities in its students. Soldiers from the regular army, navy, and air force receive training from the Army Cadet College Wing in preparation for commission as officers in the Indian Army. The Indian Military Academy receives applicants from the ACC Exam, and the academy's accomplishments are widely recognised and displayed at every level.
Military Training Directorate holds the ACC (I & II) Written Exam twice a year to select candidates for the Indian Army.
The ACC exam is divided into two stages: the Stage 1 written test and the Stage 2 SSB interview.
